Main Moon Chinese Restaurant: Authentic Chinese Cuisine in Somerset, PA

Small quaint Area not big enough for festivals Yet , waiting was worth it . The food was fresh , simmered and just plain goodness . The atmosphere there is unique . The backdrop for the outside ice sculpture festivities was funny . We were inadvertently in every picture taken of the unique sculpture in front of the tiny cafe '. Photo bombed a few them thought I need the facilities. Of course there was a sign stating to go down a huge flight of stairs . Turn go down so hallway , make a left at the furnace . Oh hell to the no That just screamed "horror movie to me ! ! " Lol so I trundged across the tiny towns street to go use their restroom and a no go there . Was told to go outside turn left by the insurance place ( I am not from that area , so may as well been speaking another language to me ! ) , then go down the snow ridden alley to make a right up the hill then to Grandma's house we go .. oh my lord It's amazing , I held it Thank you Jesus ... No handicapped entrance Forget about it We are in hills of western mid by God Pennsylvania So my food was perfectly scrumptious ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ Five star quesine

I live in Somerset I’ve been eating here since I was a young child my mother and I would always get the buffet every Saturday I was 12 now I am 34. I usually order fried rice and General so chicken that’s it but it’s delicious every time and the people in there are just good hearted people the nicest I love Chinese culture and Main Moon is a stable here in Somerset.

Called my order in. Wasn't aware there was 2 sizes for lo main noodles. I think the communication/language line was difficult. Excellent food, they didn't give small amounts!

Great Chinese. Great General Tso, chicken & broccoli, and sweet&sour. You can see them cooking right in front of you when standing at the counter. Super fast as well. Its almost always 15-20 minutes. It’s all made fresh to order and you will taste that difference. #weaversstonehousefarm

Got fast carryout- food was hot and good. Very spicy as requested and flavourful. Price was typical - $8.75 for combination plate: entree w egg roll. I like their food better than most as they dishes taste distinctly different - most places seem like it all tastes the same. It's not authentic chinese- its Americanized but still decent.

This establishment has been a dietary staple in my household for decades. Nothing can compare to the food and atmosphere of the '90s but nothing ever will! During the height of the pandemic, the business struggled, as all others, but the food remained consistent. Recently, the ownership has changed hands, but the food remains fantastic - though the General Tsos isn't as wonderfully spicy as it was when the older gentleman made it. I can't take away from other's experiences, but I don't understand all of the negative reviews. I'm sorry to those who weren't able to have the amazing experiences that I've always had.

Food was tasty and served quickly. Prices were okay. Nothing fancy here and dine in setting is awkward. Take out option available. Would probably do that in the future.

Food is excellent, fresh, and carefully prepared. Nothing is too salty or spicy but can get a real szechuan hot paste upon request. Best take out in Somerset and around.
